Privacy policy

How DamnDeal Inc. handles the information of riders who use the DealGo Rider app.

Who we are

DamnDeal Inc. ("DamnDeal") runs the DealGo Rider app. This notice explains what we collect when you apply and deliver, and why. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, described below.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details: legal name, preferred name, phone number, email, date of birth, city.
• Documents: photos of your ID or driver's license, a selfie, and for motor vehicles your insurance and registration, with their expiry dates.
• Vehicle details: type, make, model, color, license plate and state.
• Precise location: only while you are online or on a delivery, to offer you nearby jobs, calculate your pay and prove deliveries.
• Delivery photos: when a delivery calls for one, a photo of where you left the order.
• Device details: device model, app version, a device identifier used to keep your sign-in secure, and a notification token so we can tell you about new offers.
• Payout details: the bank account (routing and account number), Zelle or PayPal address you give us so we can pay you. They are stored encrypted, only our finance team can see them in full, and every time they do it is recorded.
• If you set up payouts with Stripe instead, your bank account and Social Security number are entered on Stripe's own pages and held by Stripe, not by us. We keep only your Stripe account number, whether it is ready to receive pay, and your bank's name with the last four digits of the account.

Who we share it with

• The store and the customer on a delivery you accept: your first name, your vehicle's type, color, make and model, and your live location, only while that delivery is under way. Never your surname, phone number, license plate or photos.
• Service providers that run parts of the service for us, under contract and only for that purpose: Google Firebase (sign-in codes and notifications), Mapbox (maps and road distances) and Stripe (payouts and tax forms). When you set up payouts we send Stripe your name, email, phone number and date of birth, so you do not have to type them again.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Why we use it

• To check who you are and that you may legally deliver.
• To offer and pay for deliveries, including the miles and minutes your pay is based on.
• To keep riders, customers and stores safe, and to prevent fraud.
• To meet legal duties, such as tax reporting and pay-floor laws.

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
• We do not track your location while you are offline.

How long we keep it

• Location history from deliveries: deleted after 90 days, unless it is needed for an open safety or payment dispute.
• Documents: while your account is open, then deleted, except where a law requires us to keep a record.
• Pay records: as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct, download or delete your information, and limit how we use sensitive information such as your precise location and ID documents. Delete your account from Account > Delete account in the app, from https://fleet-api.damndeal.com/delete-account, or write to info@damndeal.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
